Registered Nurse (Engle Education Center)

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Administer tube feedings.
• Administer medications as prescribed by a doctor on a daily basis.
• Documentation of prescription medication administration to students in electronic medical system.
• Implement seizure precautions and treatments.
• Attend field trips and community-based trips.
• Provide tracheostomy care and, if needed, replacement of tracheostomy tube.
• Support with toileting routines in the nurse's office.
• Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
• Implement nursing care plans as prescribed.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required OR RN program completed
• Current registered nurse licensure required.
• Experience working with special needs children preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required (must be dated within one year of hire date).

Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours per day; 185 days per year.
 
Salary:
Rate depends on if the successful candidate is a RN or a BSN.
RN Rates: Support, Band 13: $29.05 - $43.58 per hour // $40,306.87 - $60,467.25 per year
BSN Rates: Support Hay Band 14: $32.32 -  $48.48 per hour // $44,844.00 - $67,266.00 per year
